It's often referred to as a "farro" grain, which encompasses three ancient wheat varieties: emmer, spelt, and einkorn. Emmer wheat has a distinctive nutty flavor and a chewy texture, making it a versatile ingredient in various culinary dishes. It also contains only 28 chromosomes, which may aid you with better digestion.

How do I prepare Emmer? Emmer wheat is commonly used in cooking to make hearty dishes such as soups, stews, salads, and pilafs. Its robust flavor pairs well with vegetables, herbs, and savory ingredients. Additionally, you may mill Emmer wheatberries into fresh flour and use in baking to make bread, pasta, pancakes, and other baked goods.
